God Wants More For You. So Do We.

Core Values

God Wants More for You, and So Do We.

At Georges Creek, we believe God wants more for you, and so do we. You can find out more about that here God Wants More For You. So Do We. – georgescreekbaptist.org. But essentially, what it means is we want to help people embrace the fullness of all that God has for His people. We want to help people move past culture and nominal Christianity and begin to life the abundant life Christ promises His followers.

A Place to Know and Be Known

What truly sets Georges Creek apart from other churches is that we are a place where you can know and be known. When you’re here, you’re family. To us, you’re not another number or just a face. You’re a person with a story, and we want to know you. No matter your age, background, financial status, employment status, or race, you have a place here. We want to invite you to know God, know us, and be known.

Glorify God and Make Disciples

This is what it’s all about for us, which shouldn’t be any surprise since this is exactly what Jesus tells us to do in Matthew 28:18-20! We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus. Everything we do, from the preaching of the Word to the songs we sing to our prayers to our missions involvement to our activities, is one purpose and one purpose only: to glorify God. We believe that one of the best ways we can glorify God is by fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. Every time an unbeliever comes to faith in Jesus, that’s one more person who will worship and bring glory to God. So this is our aim, our purpose, our mission: glorify God and make disciples.

Everything by the Book

Simply put, this means that everything we believe and do at Georges Creek comes from and is based upon Scripture. The Bible says that every word of Scripture is breathed out by God, meaning the Bible is inspired, infallible, and inerrant (2 Timothy 3:16). Since the Bible is the only thing in our world that is without any error and only contains truth, we believe every word of Scripture and take it seriously. If the Bible teaches it, we believe and seek to obey it by God’s grace. Scripture informs and shapes our preaching, worship service, singing, praying, and practices.
