Our Educational Philosophy
At Georges Creek CDC we believe children learn best through hands-on activities in a Christian environment. Our program develops the young child’s spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. A well-trained staff manages classrooms that are teacher-directed and child-directed. ABC’s, 123’s, manners, and character are taught God’s way. Children are in an environment where choice-driven opportunities build confidence and self worth. Themed lesson plans offer class studies and learning centers that give students choices in self-directed activities.
Curriculum
Infants and Toddlers
Our youngest children are introduced to a healthy start with appropriate activities that foster security and trust. Senses are stimulated and bonding is taught through teacher interaction.
Preschoolers
Promoting school readiness is the focus for our Preschool Program. The Zoo Phonics addresses skill development for language, reading, math, science, music, and art with Bible added. Children are also actively involved in their own learning.
Five-Year-Old Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten is taught with the ABEKA curriculum and addresses learning in the subjects of Bible, reading, writing, phonics, science, math, art, social studies, and music. Children are taught skills to prepare them to further their education from first through twelfth grade.
Before/After-School-Age Care
Children in grades K5 – 5th grade learn discipline and trustworthiness through Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible. Transportation to and from East End Elementary, Crosswell Elementary, and Forest Acres is available. Homework assistance is given daily, along with field trips and special events when the children are out for school breaks.

A Note From The Director
Georges Creek Baptist Church Child Development Center’s staff and administration are dedicated to the care and education of young children by teaching the word of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Our biblically based curriculum will provide an opportunity to begin learning how to live as God’s creation in God’s world according to biblical guidance and according to God’s creative design. We would be delighted to be an integral part of your family.

2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them 3 and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.5 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.”Matthew 18:2-5
