While we as Christians love to rejoice in God’s mercy and grace and compassion towards us, we often fail to rejoice when God shows other people mercy and grace and compassion. When will we begin to look on others with compassion?

Jonah chapter 3 teaches us that no one is too far from God, but if we truly believed that, and if that is really true, then what’s stopping us from sharing the gospel with others?

Just as it was necessary for Jonah to be in the belly of the fish for 3 days and 3 nights in order to bring salvation to many, so too it was necessary for Jesus to be in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights to bring salvation to many.

Why is it that we don’t obey God’s will? What would make us readily obedient to God’s will? What do we have to do to obey?
