Just as skydivers put all their hope and trust in the parachute for their survival, all of us are putting our hope and trust in something for our salvation, that thing that assures us that we will make it. The question is, what is your parachute?

Christians often have a “grace for me but not for thee mentality.” We tend to think others deserve wrath, but we deserve grace. But Paul’s point is that we all definitely deserve God’s wrath, so we all desperately need God’s grace.
Paul says we are saved by grace through faith, but then he goes on to say we are judged by our works. So what role will works play in the final judgment?
Our world is in darkness, and God has allowed it to happen. The question is, why? Why does God allow people to descend as far as they want into sin and darkness?
