Christians often have a “grace for me but not for thee mentality.” We tend to think others deserve wrath, but we deserve grace. But Paul’s point is that we all definitely deserve God’s wrath, so we all desperately need God’s grace.
Paul says we are saved by grace through faith, but then he goes on to say we are judged by our works. So what role will works play in the final judgment?
Our world is in darkness, and God has allowed it to happen. The question is, why? Why does God allow people to descend as far as they want into sin and darkness?
The world tries to shame Christians into being ashamed of the faith and the gospel, but Paul tells us the gospel is the power of God for salvation. But how does that power give us confidence to embrace the gospel proudly?
