Take some time this Good Friday to watch this devotional that follows the chapter “Why Did Christ Die?” from John Stott’s The Cross of Christ. Stott considers the various people responsible for Christ’s death and their various reasons for taking part in His death. Stott also shows how we today are equally guilty of the same evil, scheming motives and are equally culpable for Jesus’ death. Today, take time to reflect on your own culpability in the death of Jesus, your sins which made the cross necessary, and reflect on the overwhelming grace, mercy, and love of Jesus to die in your place.
